DVR News: TiVo Announces Portable Service
Yahoo! News - TiVo Upgrade Shifts TV Shows to Computer Laptop
TiVo has announced a new service called "TiVo ToGo" that will allow Series 2 users to view recorded programs on a computer or laptop. The upgrade will be free and will at first only apply to Series 2 standalone units. A later upgrade is planned for units with integrated DVD recorders.
As always, it is unclear whether this service will work with DirecTiVo units.
