Fast Forward Video Launches New FieldPro DVR
Ultra-Compact Personal Recorder With IDE Drives Offers Exceptional Image Quality and Recording Flexibility
IRVINE, Calif. —February 15, 2005 — Fast Forward Video, Inc. (FFV), a recognized innovator of digital video recorder (DVR) technology for broadcast, industrial video, presentation, and military applications, today announced the launch of its powerful new ultra-compact FieldPro DVR™ with IDE drives. The FieldPro DVR will debut at NAB2005 in Las Vegas.
The FieldPro DVR is a stand-alone digital video recorder measuring just 5.2 in. by 0.8 in. by 3.7 in. with an internal 2.5-in. hard drive. Small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, FieldPro DVR features video capture and playback at 60 fields per second, resolution greater than 550 lines at 4:1 compression, user-selectable compression ratios ranging from 4:1 to 20:1, and recording times averaging between four to 20 minutes per gigabyte. It delivers exceptional image quality, featuring scalable MJPEG compression and an outstanding 720 x 486 pixel image resolution.
Designed with the broadcast industry award-winning technology of the
Forward Video OMEGA DECK™, the ultra compact Recon DVR™, and the
DVR Pro™, the FieldPro DVR offers a broad feature set with a compact
for excellent flexibility in industrial recording applications, among others.
The DVR’s control panel features include record, seek or scan forward/backward, single-frame forward/reverse, delete clips, and play/pause. An external 12-VDC power adapter powers the miniature system.
Like other DVR solutions from Fast Forward Video, the FieldPro DVR simplifies video management through essential features including time/date stamp and character display, time-lapse recording, NTSC/PAL compatibility, and composite and Y/C inputs and outputs. Users can record video as PC-viewable QuickTime™ files or secure video files.
